The Plan
Structured as a networking cocktail reception, this event features four wine tasting stations highlighting two wines each for a total of eight wine tastings. Our guests are invited to sample all eight wines and/or continue to enjoy their favorite wine.

Upon entry, our guests will receive a glass of sparkling wine and a handout that outlines each of the four tasting stations. The tasting tables are managed by Astor Center’s knowledgeable staff who are prepared to answer questions or provide tasting notes on all of the eight wines served.

The Clash: Should I stay or should I go? What’s an investor to do?

Opus Connect

Topic: The Clash: Should I stay or should I go? What’s an investor to do?

Date: May 10, 2017

Time: 6:00pm-8:00pm

Location: Bernstein 1345 Avenue of the Americas (36th Fl.) New York, NY 10105

Summary:

Stocks have been up sharply since the election, but the upward market and recent volatility has reasons far beyond politics. The global economy has shown resiliency, and earnings are beginning to accelerate. Despite this, valuations and the potential for increased volatility have created uncertainty.

Paul Robertson, Bernstein Senior Portfolio Manager, will discuss what Bernstein believes is behind the expectation of greater economic growth, the market rally and recent increase in volatility, and how Bernstein is responding. His discussion will include what areas of the economy are expected to grow faster than normal, what growth-enhancing policies from the new administration mean for investors, and whether staying invested is a prudent plan.

Speaker:

Paul Robertson, Senior Portfolio Manager of Bernstein

iGlobal Forum: 5th Independent Sponsors Summit

Changing market forces, rising interest rates and shifting investor attributes desiring lower cost and risk structures have made the private equity marketplace highly competitive. Independent sponsors are providing unique opportunities for private equity and mezzanine debt investors who are looking to better align incentives with the standard private equity fund. However, they face many challenges around deal sourcing, compensation and governance and with new entrants in the sector, it is critical that they develop the right partnerships to ensure deal flow in all market cycles. iGlobal Forum’s 5th Independent Sponsor Summit, held on April 19th & 20th in New York, will bring together over 150 senior level capital providers and IS executives by combining high-level networking and one-to-one meetings, alongside in-depth content, so you can pick up the best strategies from industry experts, make valuable connections, and improve your odds in generating successful deals. The 5th Independent Sponsor Summit is a key platform to meet and network directly with leading industry professionals and decision-makers all under one roof such as: Independent Sponsors (Fundless Sponsors), Private Equity Firms, Family Offices, Mezzanine Lenders, Hedge Funds, Institutional Investors, HNWIs (High Net Worth Individuals) and M&A Intermediaries/Advisors.
